Right now, it's "Nut up or shut up", proving time. Honestly, I feel like we have a lot to prove, and I feel on this album we did. I think one of the best thing that we found with this new album coming out is that we truly found out who Palisades is.
I’m never going to tell God what he can and can’t do, so I won’t say Memphis aren’t going to be the next Metallica. But I will say there’s a chance that we won’t be. I have the ability, the means and resources to do something like this solo album, so there was absolutely no reason why I shouldn’t have made it. But I want to make it really clear that Memphis are my priority.

Rise Records has signed Defeat The Low, a DIY post-hardcore quintet from Portland that features Rise Records owner Craig Ericson on rhythm guitar.
