You can read our interview with From Indian Lakes here. In the interview, we talk about the band's tour with Relient K, their current album Absent Sounds, and what we can expect from the band in the future.
This record was written in a city, most of it, rather than the big, open spaces that I was in previously. I would get up out of bed, away from my wife and itd be like 3 or 4 in the morning, and Id sit at my kitchen table with a guitar and Id be on Logic, and it was just stuff that was hitting me in those delirious moments, sort of almost drug-induced
Jake Denning on 12/17/14 - 11:05 AM
You can check out our interview with Marmozets here. They're definitely a band to watch in 2015, as they have a wild live performance. Catch them on tour with Enter Shikari and Stray From The Path in the spring, dates are in the replies.

Read our review with indie/folk singer-songwriter yellowbirddd, who also serves as Allison Weiss' bassist. We're still streaming his new album, CENTINELA.
I was driving. It happened so fast. One moment, I was driving carefully - conditions were not great - the next moment, I felt the van had lost control, and the next thing I knew we were going down into the median ditch and the van started to roll. Then we landed upright and I felt the cold wind coming in, and we immediately made sure everyone was okay.

This week we're back with another AbsolutePlaylist from one of my favorite bands, P.O.D. You might recognize their early radio hits, such as "Youth of The Nation", "Alive", and "Boom", as well as placement in numerous films. They've also collaborated with variety of artists like Mike Muir of Suicidal Tendencies, and Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed. Head to the replies to check out the playlist. The band's new acoustic album, SoCal Sessions, is out now.

Drop us a tune or two in the replies. If you include a short description, we'll consider your songs for a holiday community playlist! In case you missed it, we put together a community fall themed playlist a few weeks ago.

You can check out our interview with Alex Erian of Obey The Brave here. The band's new album Salvation is out now via Epitaph Records.
I'm personally involved in management/business side of things when it comes to this band. We have a manager and booking agent and all that, but I oversee everything - and that's something that I wanted to do, the label didn't feel strongly about it at first, and then when they saw the repercussions, they were all about it. It's something people do in the hip-hop scene all the time, putting out singles, and we just wanted to do that in our scene, and I'd encourage more bands to do it...especially in this day in age, record sales are less and less relevant,...

Well, this year sure seemed to go by quickly. We're currently gearing up for the end of the year feature where we compile all of our favorite albums into a big database for you to search through. While the staff are stressing over putting together their lists, and members are encouraged to post their favorites in our forums, we're also continuing our tradition of asking for lists from band members, label folk, and others in the music industry. If you fit into one of the aforementioned categories and would like to submit your list to us -- please do so here. Everyone here at AP.net would like to wish you all a happy and safe holiday season, keep an eye out for this feature right around...

Today, I'm proud to bring you the next AbsolutePlaylist member submission! Vance Mook (Aaron) hails from Erie and brings us a great batch of songs today: "The collection is mostly comprised of softer indie (or, in some cases, emo) music both old and new, with most instrumentation truly reflecting the 'introspective / nighttime' vibe." On last week's episode of the AP.net Podcast, Drew and I talked a lot about writing online, the future of album reviews, and stuff like that. I also hinted at the idea of bringing on more staff contributors here at the website and spent the weekend bouncing around a bunch of ideas with all the current staff members. Well, we decided it's time to expand. We think we've got news posting down pretty well (although all staff can post news), so we're looking mostly for those interested in writing album reviews and doing interviews with bands, record labels, and other industry folk. If this sort of thing seems up your alley, we've got a little application form you can fill out here. We just...

Today, I'm proud to bring you a new AbsolutePlaylist member submission! codeseven (Daniel) hails from North Carolina and has been a member with us since 2006. He explained a little bit about his selections: "As far as why I picked the songs I did, it's a bit hard to describe. Fall generates a feeling that you can't quite put into words, but you experience it through sight and sound. That's why I chose the songs I did. While I didn't necessarily focus on lyrical content, I went with what gave me that feeling. The songs that I can listen to with my eyes close and can perfectly picture the leaves falling off of the trees, the gray clouds covering the sky, the night air getting cooler on my...

After a stint playing Fest, Tiny Moving Parts have hit the road with Dads and Choir Vandals for a few weeks and stopped by Austin's Red 7 last night. The room was full for a Tuesday night, and all three bands could feel the good vibes. Things got rowdy, as they always do after a night at Red 7 (I'm telling you, things happen there man), but not before I could snap a few shots of the Triple Crown Records band straight outta Minnesota, eh. Check out a few photos and the gallery link below.

The Ghost Inside have come a long way since I first saw them on Bring Me The Horizon's Suicide Season U.S. Headlining tour in 2008, and since then I've been a huge fan. From playing tours such as the Atticus Metal tour, the AltPress tour, and eventually hitting main stage this year at Warped Tour, the band has worked incredibly hard to get where they are today. So with that being said, this weeks AbsolutePlaylist is dedicated to one of my favorite bands, and some of my favorite songs of theirs from the last 6 years or so. Head to the replies to check it out. If you liked what you heard, you can catch the band this November/December on their co-headliner with Every Time I Die - tickets...

Halloween is tomorrow which means that the fall season is in full swing! The only thing better than taking a long drive through the colorful countryside or strolling through the park in fall is having a great soundtrack to accompany you. And don't forget to check out the AP.net Podcast that was all about favorite fall albums.

Fest 13 is taking over Gainesville, Florida this weekend so heres a list of bands you should probably check out if you're attending. These picks could be a little obvious, but this is my first time going and Im traveling all the way from an isolated Canadian city called Winnipeg, a place American punk bands usually skip on tours. Who are you excited to see? Feel free to leave your picks in the replies because Im definitely open to some last minute suggestions.

The end of CMJ seems like the perfect excuse to bring back the Bored On Sunday column and discuss the best bands we've all discovered at music festivals. Despite most festivals having incredible lineups, with hundreds (if not thousands) of artists playing, there are always a few performances that stand out. They're often not the most popular shows, the most attended, or the most talked about, but they are what stand out to you and me... and what make the festival experience so memorable.

I spent the entire week roaming the streets of NYC, partying with fellow AP.net writers, and seeing band after band after band. I couldn't make a list of every artist I saw this past week, as is the...

Today, I'm proud to bring you the sixth AbsolutePlaylist member submission! Toner (Richard) hails from London, England and brings us a great playlist today entitled, "The Last 10 Years." "I've been a member of AP.net since 2005, which ties in perfectly with the beginning of the story that this playlist tells of the last 10 years of my life. AP.net has been shaping my musical tastes ever since I signed up. I am eternally grateful to the staff of AP.net for introducing me to bands such as The Receiving End of Sirens, The New Frontiers, La Dispute and more recently, The Hotelier. I don't often post or comment on here, but I'm always reading and always appreciating the output of the...

We recently interviewed Hozier about his No. 2 selling debut album and Saturday Night Live performance. Check it out here.
I was trying to look at the more natural parts of being a person. How sad that can sometimes be, how limited you are and how lost you can be, but also how there is a joy and a wonder in that, too. Youre born alone and you die alone, but youre alone together with other people.
