16) Hans Zimmer confirms that he is doing the score for Snyder’s Superman.

17) The Weinstein Company releases a new poster for The King’s Speech. This one looks great.

18) Fox moves forward with The Three Stooges project, to be directed by the Farrelly brothers. Production will begin in March 2011.

15) Here’s some details on the Wachowski’s new film Cobalt Neural 9.
As was previously reported, the film takes place in the near future and deals with a homosexual relationship between a U.S. soldier and an Iraqi. Said to be shot in a Cinéma vérité style, Vulture suggests that much of the film is told through artificial news reports viewed from a narrative point a hundred years in the future. The American character is Butch, a marine who, after falling in love with the Iraqi character, conspires with him to assassinate President George W. Bush. The framework of the film, then, falls in both the future and the recent past, though apparently within an altered history.

16) John Goodman has joined Kevin Smith’s latest movie Red State which is reportedly working with a budget of around 4 million.

05) Stephen Fry will be playing Sherlock's older brother in Sherlock Holmes 2 and Jared Harris will be playing the role of Moriarty.

06) Of the short list of directors Christopher Nolan has in mind to direct the next Superman film, which would you be most interested in seeing at the head of the project? They are Daren Aronofsky, Matt Reeves, Zack Snyder, Tony Scott, Duncan Jones, and Jonathan Liebesman.

07) There were a number of losses in the film world this week. We lost Sally Menke, Arthur Penn, Tony Curtis, and Greg Giraldo.

08) This is one of those "can't-miss" opportunities in the film world. Back to the Future will be hitting select theaters on 10/23 and 10/25.

09) Lucas has been converting the Star Wars Saga to 3D and is expected to begin releasing them theatrically in 2012. The first film to be released will be Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace.
